Tumelo Mashabane

My name is Tumelo, I am a graduate student at Lakehead University studying Electrical and Computer engineering with a focus on machine learning. For the past few years I have had a great curiosity for education inspired technology. Since then I have ambitiously jumped into the education world by doing a number of activities; taking on the virtual reality project with SXD Lab through eCampusOntario, getting a certificate in teaching and learning, becoming an advocate for open education by organizing OER events on my campus, even shifting from research assistant to teaching assistant. In spite of that, I still feel there is still much to be learnt and developed. I go into Digital Pedagogy Lab with an open mind with the expectation to expand my knowledge through learning and engaging in conversation with educators and researchers.
